Description
Historian and collector. Materials (1962–1965) from Bass’s participation with the Oklahoma Civil War Centennial Commission, including general correspondence and correspondence regarding Abraham Lincoln; and subject files regarding Civil War historical sites, events, personalities, and programs received from other state commissions. Also included in the collection are Bass’s travel diaries (1943–1966); correspondence (1933–1936) to and from patriotic societies; correspondence (1935–1940) from J. Edgar Hoover regarding conferences on crime; speeches (1935–1940) by Hoover; and reports (1933–1936) from conferences regarding crime.
