Journalist. Correspondence (1942–1950) from Governor Leon C. Phillips and from Walter M. Harrison, a newspaper editor, praising stories Williams wrote as a reporter for the Daily Oklahoman newspaper and regarding his transfer to a newspaper in Iowa; interdepartmental memos (1929–1930) of the Daily Oklahoman regarding the assignment of stories and potential stories; telegrams (1949–1950) and newspaper obituaries (1949) regarding Williams’s death; an event program (1935) for an Oklahoma City Gridiron Club banquet; and copies of the Marshalltown, Iowa, Times-Republican newspaper (1945–1950), for which Williams worked after leaving Oklahoma. Also included in this collection is Williams’s diploma (1919) from the Wentworth Military Academy of Lexington, Missouri.
