Description
Collector. A short, typewritten copy of a travel diary (1908) describing a trip through Kansas and Oklahoma, along with copies of three letters (1849–1873). One letter is from Beni Wingate, writing from Ft. Gibson, Indian Territory, in 1850 about family matters; the second is from George Mower, writing from the Platte River in Nebraska Territory in 1849 and commenting on what he has seen since leaving St. Joseph, Missouri; and the third (1873) is a brief letter of introduction for a salesman operating out of Denison, Texas.
