Attorney and University of Oklahoma alumnus. Legal case files (1913–1982) for litigation handled by Merle G. Smith, and Merle G. Smith, Jr., attorneys at law in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The case files include correspondence between the Smiths and their clients, as well as related legal documents. The collection also contains memorabilia from Merle G. Smith’s student days at the University of Oklahoma, including two felt University of Oklahoma beanie caps (n.d.), one felt armband bearing the letters “S A T C” (n.d.), and one dance card for the Freshman Christmas Dance (1919). Also includes twenty-seven reproduction photographs of University of Oklahoma buildings and events, and one piece of correspondence (1919) from Smith regarding freshman activities.
